Outlook e-mail address question

I'm finally switching from Netscape Messenger to MS Outlook XP. My only problem is I can't get Outlook to find my addresses from Netscape. It's a .ldif file and no matter what I do I can't get it to retrieve the address. Any ideas?

Using Netscape 4.8

Is there an export function with Netscape? If so, you should be able to export the addys then import them into Outlook. Outlook will import a standard .csv file.

Yes it exports to the .ldif file format but gives the option to save in other formats. Not sure which to choose in outlook to import. I have tried a bunch but nothing works.

What do I choose for import. .csv isn't listed anywhere in the import that I can find.

I have the .csv file on my desktop though 🙂

Import "other address book".

other address book isn't an option but import from another program or file is and I've been through every single option under that and it doesn't recognize a csv file.

csv = comma separated values. I guess I've got Outlook 2k, so don't know exactly what your options are in XP... In 2k, there's an option for importing Comma Separated Values (DOS) and Comma Separated Values (Windows) -- either will work.
