Outlook and Hotmail

Is it possible to check Hotmail through Outlook? (NOT Outlook Express). What is the pop server for hotmail? I can't seem to get it off their site, if it is even on there. Let me know if anyone got their Hotmail through Outlook. Thanks.

You can try pop.hotmail.com
That worked for me some time back. But I think it is a test server because its up and down mostly the latter.:frown:

If you really dont want to visit a website to get your mail, I would suggest signing up with Yahoo Mail or AmexMail. Yahoo mail gives you both SMTP and POP for the reasonable price of signing up to one of their "Yahoo Delivers" mailing list.

AmexMail provided by American Express provides POP only but gives you 10 MB of space and priority customer service(this is true as I have experienced it personally) if you are a Amex card holder.

P.S: I think you can have hotmail forward your email over to another account if you decide to sign up for yahoo or something.

I believe there are a few tools out there that "manipulate" Outlook to think that it is accessing a POP3 server for HoTMaiL. In actually, it's some middleware that logs into HoTMaiL, retrieves your mail, and converts things to a POP format for Outlook. It's been awhile since I've played with one of these. Outlook Express is just fine.
