Turn on my sister's computer. Everything works fine for a while, then the web just quits loading web pages. Not a time out, just plumb doesn't load anything, like if you had the cable unplugged. Happens with both IE and Firefox. And yet MSN, AIM, and Outlook still work fine? What am I missing here?
Tried repairing network connection, ipconfig release/renew, and unplugging the cable modem router, but the only thing that fixes it is a hard reboot. 😕
Computer is a sh!tty Compaq Presario (I know) running XP. Service is Roadrunner cable modem with a Toshiba modem connected through the USB. I can't seem to get it to work with an ethernet card, not sure why. Have Windows firewall running and EZ Antivirus.
