I have a client who migrated from a hosted exchange server to gmail. A third party handled the migration (independent of me) and it appeared to go well. However, the user noted a few things bugs

1) Calendar tentative invites go out correctly every time, but the confirmation updates are hit or miss. Sometimes they will sit in the outbox and then eventually disappear without ever making it to the recipient. She had to send the reminder 6 times in one instance before the recipient received the confirmation update. This has a huge impact on their business.

2) Another client moved some items from his PST to his gmail account and it started to move the items, but then it stopped receiving email. Send/Receive went through the process and didn't show any signs of failing. The new emails could be viewed by logging into the web portal for gmail, but not in his outlook. So, we closed out and ran a repair on outlook, which deleted outlook. So he had to call MS and they walked him through getting it back. Now, the files that were selected in the move to gmail are not in his PST, nor on google's server... But the rest of his emails are still in his PST.

I have read a number of articles that basically say gmail and outlook don't play nice and it sure lines up with my experience, but I was hoping someone had some more insight on this.

Thanks in advance.
