Outlook 2K with multiple connections

I have a user who collects his mail thru our LAN, thru his home broadband connection and thru his PDA. When he connects via the PDA or the broadband connection he has to manually change his outgoing mail server address.

Is there any way that Outlook can be configured to set this automatically based on his connection type?

He is currently using Outlook 2000. Is this possible using Outlook 2000. Would Outlook XP resove the issue?

I take it he is connecting to the same server, from all locations?

One option could be to set up profiles, using the same .pst file and incoming settings, but different outgoing settings depending on which profile he loads, depending on the location?

Confused

He's using the same incoming mail server in each case, but because his ISP is different for each connection he is obliged to use different outgoing mail servers.
