Outlook 2007 Search Issues

So I installed Windows Desktop Search Beta 3.0 and I noticed that in Tools -> Preferences -> Search it lists a couple of checkboxes where it says: "Index the Following Folders." It shows all my mail folders but the checkboxes are all greyed out.

The Windows Desktop Indexing Service is running and everything but it gives me these greyed out boxes, doe anyone know what might be wrong?

Is this similar to google desktop search? didn't know MS made one other than what was built into windows....why would they make a separate one?

Yes, but for now it only works with Outlook and Infopath. It is a required component if you want to search your mailboxes. However it is not working for me. It sucks, because everyone else with Office 2007 is talking about how awesome the new search is.
