Looking to buy Outlook 2007 and have found it on Ebay but is the academic version... they state that it will work for anyone and you don't have to be a student, teacher, or associated with an academic institution. Will it be okay/legitimate?? Any ideas on where to buy it cheap? Microsoft really made a mess of how things are packaged with Office 2007... it is all butchered and pieced out...

FYI, Office 2007 Home and Student Edition does NOT include Outlook. MS figures you don't need Outlook if you're a student.

Different editions

No...Office 2007 Home and Student does not have outlook 2007.. What I was looking at on ebay was just Outlook 2007 academic version.. It is a standalone package that supposedly requires one to be in school and to give info to verify that. The sellers on Ebay state that anyone can buy it and use it. True??? Thanks..

Sure, anyone can buy it, but if you aren't a student then you are breaking the EULA. It's no different than purchasing NFR software IMHO.
