Hey,
Well I just got a new job and took over someones office and the computer I recieved is having issues with outlook.
First of all I know all my account settings are correct.
The problems are as follows:
1. When I do a test account settings after putting my account information in it just says cancelled.
Find outgoing mail server (SMTP) Cancelled
Find incoming mail server (pop3) cancelled
It says cancelled instantly after i hit test account settings like its not even trying.
When I try to do a send recieve I get a timeout referencing the last two error codes or a unknown error 0x8007007a.
Here is what I have done to try and fix the problem.
1. Recreated my email account.
2. Made a new pst.
3. Did detect and repair
4. Sfc /scannow
5. uninstalled and reinstalled office.
6. downloaded all office updates.
7. tried my gmail account in outlook and it does the same thing, works at home in outlook fine.
8. Tried thunderbird and it works with no issues but my manager wants us to all have outlook.
9. Uninstalled and reinstalled nav.
10. Tried starting with no startup items.
11. Tried in safe mode.
All these did not fix the issue. Has anyone ever heard of this or fixed it. I have done a lot of searching on google that hasnt helped.
