Outlook 2003 help

My wife did something to Outlook. When trying to start a new email, there is this weird thing in the message.

You cant delete it so she must have turned some feature on. When you hit the space bar, you get a period instead.

How do I get rid of this?

It's a setting in Microsoft Word which Outlook uses by default for new emails if installed. Start a new message go to Tools and then options selection. Clear anything checked in the formatting marks. Should do it.

She had "All" checked in the formatting marks area.

Its fixed now.
