I've got a bit of an odd idea I'd like to try out in Outlook if I can.
I know how to use the 'rules' to automatically move email in my inbox to separate folders. I also periodically add friends of mine that email me to the "safe senders" whitelist.
What I would like to do is have a separate folder for all of my whitelisted email addresses and create a rule that moves emails from people on the whitelist to the whitelist folder (and notify me), but NOT to ONLY accept email from people on the whitelist.
I realize that I could create a group of all of my friends and set the rule up that way, but then I would have to add each new person to the rule manually. I'd like to easily add people to the list, while letting all of the other email go to the general inbox.
Any way to implement the "safe senders" list into a rule? If its really easy, feel free to let me know how dumb I am, but I tried for an hour and didn't see it anywhere.
