I am currently running Windows XP with Office XP. I use outlook as my email / schedule program. When i installed XP, i backed up my .pst files and my archive files. Then after i installed WinXP, i placed the files into the appropriate folder. In win2K with both Office 2000 and Office XP, this would work fine, i would then have all of my personal folders along with my contacts and saved messages. When i do (did) this in WinXP with Office XP, everything worked fine EXCEPT for my contacts. They are all listed in my contacts, but if i make a new message and type in the name, or click on the "to" button, i cannot access my contacts. I get the following message "the address list could not be displayed. the contacts folder associated with this address list could not be opened; it may have been deleted, or you do not have permissions" how do i check to see if i have permission? any other suggestions
i have uninstalled outlook, and reinstalled - but with no success
also - i have deleted my entire contacts folder, and then entered a few names to test it - it still doesnt work
any help would be grateful 🙂
