It just started today. I try to start it up, but it gets as far as the initial intro screen with the blank Outlook window in the background. Then nothing. Not responding. I tried starting Outlook from another account on the same computer (Win2K) and Outlook started. I tried logging on with the same user account on another computer on our network and set up the email account there, and it worked just fine. On the problem computer, there are lots of processes running, but I don't know which to close.

I've tried running the repair tool, and doing all office updates, but it still wouldn't start.

Any ideas as to what the problem is? TIA

I saw you said you tried Repair, but have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling it?

Before you unistall make sure you make a backup or your email folders. If Outlook does the same extention as OE, search for " *.dbx " w/o quotes and copy them to a secure area where it won't get accidently erased when unistalling it.

Outlook uses .pst files.

I would try rerunning the latest service pack for Office XP. If that doesn't work, uninstall and reinstall but save your .pst files first.
