I have outlook 2000 now and i have the setting on that when i get an email a dialog box comes up on my screen to tell me. It gives me the option to open the email or to close the dialog box.
now when this dialog box comes up i have no idea who the email is from so i don't ever open it. i then go into outlook to open it. is there away that i can have the dialog box tell me who the email is from and maybe the subject?

Not directly. However, if you set up some rules looking for specific "From" addresses you can have it pop up special messages or play special sounds when messages from that person comes in.

ok, i like the idea of rules though. the problem is i get emails for a lot of different people and that will be a lot of rules. maybe i will just make rules for some people then.
thanks
