Outlook 2000 hangs in XP

Happens on every machine I have XP on, seems to work just fine in 2000. Just hangs on the "Please wait while Microsoft Outlook exits." Slpashscreen
 
It hangs when trying to exit, I have narrowed it down to a problem with the server. I can close down fine if I unplug the network before I exit. If I try to exit while still connected it just hangs forever, I think it has something to do with synchronization. I will have to take a look at it more today.
