Outlook 2000 - change the .pst path?

I have a small home network set up consisting of two computers. I'd like both of them to be able to share the same .pst file in outlook. This should be easy, however, it seems that Outlook doesn't want you changing the path of the .pst file. What I'd like to do, is to set up one of the computers so it gets the .pst file from the other computer via the network, as opposed to getting the .pst file locally. I've tried many methods, but I haven't been able to come up with a solution yet.

This should be an easy thing to do, I don't know why Outlook made it so damn difficult.

Also, the "customize outlook today" button doesn't work on either computers, which I can live with, but is still a bit annoying.

If anyone can help at all, please reply. Thank you very much!

depends on what version of outlook. outlook2k3 had an option to change the location.

The easiest way to change the location is to:
- Quit Outlook
- Move the file(s)
- Restart Outlook
- Redirect Outlook to the new location of the files when Outlook "complains" about not being able to find the files.

I did the same thing with more than 2 users and we had problems with multiple parties accessing the files at the same time - you may not be able to do what you want without some groupware.
