Outlook 2000 automation

Is it possible to make Outlook 2000 automatically call my dial-up ISP and check for email when launched? I.e. to automate me clicking on the "send/receive" button?

to my knowledge yes you can, you have to tell it to dial out, ussing your already stablished connection, then you have to tell it to disconnect after checking the server for new mail, I am not exactly sure the steps but do a search in the help.

I think what you're talking about is making it dial when I click on the send/receive button. Which it already does.

What I want is for it to automatically do send/receive when I launch the program. I can't find it in the help but I'm sure it must be there.

probably in general internet options.. set to dial when needed. set outlook to check every x minutes or when launched
