Outlook 12 Line Spacing?

I heard in the past with Outlook that when you were making a new line, that you had to hold the "shift" key down in order to get a normal one line space below the next line, otherwise it would be double spaced.

Is this true with Outlook 12 that you have to also hold the Shift key down, or can you just hit "Enter" when you are ready to type a new line?

THANKS

I have never had to use the Shift key to get single line carriage returns in Outlook or any other mail program. Nor have I heard of anyone else experiencing the same problem. I suspect that the person who told you this was using MS Word as their mail editor and had their default template in Word set to double spacing.

Hmm ok, so just hitting 'Enter' is fine?

What about copying and pasting?

THANKS

MS removed c&p, they found it too convenient.

Perhaps you should try an Office 2007 trial.

I mean when you copy and paste into Outlook 12 even though the spacing appears normal has there ever been any problems with copying and pasting text, that it gets spaced out more?

I swear one time I copied and pasted text out of one message I sent, and I just wanted to duplicate this message in another email, and after I sent the message and looked in the "Sent" folder to look at it, the paragraphs where spaced out more.

THANKS
