We have a customer that has suddenly developed this error. It may or may not be associated to it, but her motherboard was just swapped out under warranty. The motherboard was an exact model swap. I've tried a couple of the things in the link below, and haven't been able to get back to her to try anything else. Also did a repair install of Office XP. When you start the machine or if you log off and log back on as the same user you can get one or two email checks in and then it comes up with that error. She is running multiple accounts from outlook, all going to the same provider. She is running norton anti virus, though I haven't been able to try and shut it off yet. We have talked with her provider and they say everything seems ok. Everyone else in her office is able to check their email ok.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Specs
Intel P4, XPpro, Office XP using Outlook 2002.

It seems that her norton anti virus is having troubles. It wouldn't run updates and the email scanning wouldn't work. Uninstalled it, and the mail works normally. Norton won't reinstall right, so it's gone.
