OutKast - Hey Ya

Deeko

Lifer
I got Speakerboxxx/The Love Below yesterday, after hearing the singles on Sirius a few times. The first time I heard Hey Ya, I really hated the song, I literally said "what the fvck is this sh!t"...but every time I listen to it, I like it more and more, its actually among my favorite songs right now....I highly recommend it!

both of the albums are really good. you can't listen to them together though, you'll have to enjoy them separately to really appreciate each of the albums.

Oh, it's one of the catchiest tunes I've ever heard. I heard it in a bar 2 weekends ago, but couldn't identify the song. This past weekend, I was in another bar while it was being played, only this time it was the music video, so I was easily able to get the song name and artist. It's a great song, in my opinion, one of many from Outkast. 🙂

This is one of those albums you can't possibly think you'll enjoy just by DLing a few MP3s. Do yourself the favor, buy the CD and listen to both discs from front to back, awesome albums, can't even tell you how cool Andre's disc is....

Agreed. I downloaded 2 songs. Then was like, "wtf, it's outkast. get the whole damn thing". Plus I had a $10 Amazon giftcode to use, so it ended up being about 6 bucks.

There's only two songs I like on theire new album, "Hey Ya", and "Roses". Hey ya has a funky old skool sound to it that sounds great. Roses just grows on ya.

Oh, well I guess this whole thread revolves around you, huh Deeko?

j/k 😀 I meant that statement to anyone who's just listened to a couple of songs or is planning to DL it off the net, Dre's album is an experience, so make sure you hear it from front to back 🙂

Interestingly I can say that I'm not sure I've ever heard a single song by outkast. Not a station here plays it AFAIK.
