Outdoor Wireless camera / AP / Repeater ?

Hello guys!

I have a friend that wants me to install a couple of outdoor wireless security cameras on a very large parking lot

Can someone please recommend a good setup to accomplish this task ?

I could buy a new router if needed...was thinking of going with something like this to put right outside the warehouse:

Thanks!

Is a couple really two? Or is it more than that? Because the Pico is single stream and even with a powerful radio, you are reliant on the wireless camera's radio power here. At best at 100ft or so, you MIGHT get something like 80Mbps. If this is a big parking lot and the cameras are 300-400ft away, you are probably talking more like 25Mbps or so shared between whatever cameras are setup, if not less.

What you may need to do is look at a setup where the security cameras are wired to their own wireless bridge pointed back at your recieving outdoor AP.

My suggestion, depending on budget, would be to look at these for bridges http://www.amazon.com/EnGenius-Techn...ireless+bridge

and this for the outdoor AP http://www.amazon.com/EnGenius-Techn...ireless+bridge

Then you have the advantage that you stay off 2.4GHz in case of any interference from nearby networks and you also don't have to rely on the wireless cameras, likely, puny antenna and radio.
