Well for anyone that remembers, several months ago a stolen car was driven onto my back patio of my apartment, taking out most of my fence. The complex has yet to get it repaired(which is another story entirely)and I don't like the idea of having my bikes and chairs and stuff just sitting out there to be stolen, so i am looking at purchasing a storage unit for them. I have found some decent ones at lowes, and target. I have also checked walmart, meijer, home depot and a few other places. Just wondering if anybody else can think of any good places to check that I might have missed.
I am not exactly sure what I want yet. I was thinking somethign big enough to hold a decent size trash can for 2 or more bags of trash, since we have to carry our trash down to a compactor, and I would prfer to be able to just pull the trash can(with wheels) down there, rather then have to carry the trash or put it in my car. It also needs to hold a weed eater(of which I will be purchasing at about the same time, so I don't know the exact dimensions of it. The same with the trash can) There will also be a couple folding lawn chairs, a cooler and maybe a few other odds and ends.
I was leaning towards this one at lowes, and I had planned to just chain the bokes to it somehow. But then i was wondering how bad it would be to leave the bikes out in the rain, I don't want them to rust or anything, not sure how much of a problem that will be. Oh and that reminds me we also have one of those things the kids ride in that connects to the back of the bike. Like this
It can be taken apart and folds down, so it can probablly be put in the storage unit. But I was wondering if maybe I got a taller stand up unit that maybe I could stand the bikes up inside it, but I havem't found any that I think will hold the bikes and the rest of the stuff, so that idea may not work.
So if you know of any other palces to look or have any ideas, let me know.
