Out of Towner Needs Help with LAX Public Transit

I'm visiting LAX from Florida to pick up a relative and fly back to Florida. I have a few hours on the ground before my mother-in-law arrives.

I want to visit the Fry's store at Sepulveda and Rosecrans Ave. Can anyone advise me on where to go? I don't want to waste my money or some cab drivers time.

(I drove for a while. One time, I paid to get in line at the local airport. I waited about three hours. I hauled a fare to a hotel about two miles away. She tipped me two bucks on a $3 fare. I was working on a 50/50 straight commission//driver buys the gas basis. I don't think I went negative but it still sucked really bad.) 🙁
 
Dude, don't use public transportation in Los Angeles. Rent a car or take a shuttle or a cab but whatever you do, don't use public transportation.

Edit-Nevermind, I see you only want to go to Fry's. Fry's is probably a 15 minute drive south of LAX. Very easy to get to. Take a cab from the airport (for convenience)...you could probably take the bus back up if you have to actually, shouldn't be that bad.
 
Wait... you're flying out to CA just to meet someone and fly back with them? What the hell? Why can't they just fly to FL?

Yea weird, it sounds like the MIL is flying in to LAX from out of country? Think they could handle LAX to FL..lol

You really don't wanna know. Buh-ut, it starts with politeness and respect; and, continues past the fact that Pilipino is not even close to a third language here in the good ole USA.

AND, one way to Florida from Manila is insanely expensive. One way to LA is a bargain; even after including round-trip hand holding.

So, is there a bus stop at LAX?

I wanna visit Fry's and maybe buy a couple of their throw-aways (traffic builders) or something that I'd never buy online because I don't need it bad enuff to wait.

Renting a car would be stupid. (Yaaay, I was lost in LA/stuck in a traffic jam/"name some other inadvertant adventure")

I plan to go hang out at the Bob Hope USO with Mama after I get back from Fry's. We should have about a six hour wait for the Red Eye. (free snax, free movies, free phone call to my loving family in Florida [Sprint Family Plan], free place to relax and hang out)

This trip won't be a lot of fun but it won't weigh heavily on my weekly budget after it is over. I'll need every leftover quarter to pay tolls when we head out to the theme parks in Orlando.

its fairly close. its right on the big street tropical themed i think. yeah by bus the 232 line sounds right. depending on the day i could take you on my lunch break haha.
