Out of these choices, which should I play next?

These games are sitting on my shelf. Most are still shrink-wrapped. Some I've played a bit and quit for one reason or the other.

PS3
Demon's Souls
Star Ocean - The Last Hope International
Disgaea 3 - Absence of Justice
Assassin's Creed Brotherhood
God of War 3
Red Dead Redemption
Lost Planet
Metal Gear Solid 4

DSi
Legend of Zelda - Spirit Tracks

Wii
Epic Mickey
Nights: Journey of Dreams
Kirby's Epic Yarn

I just finished Final Fantasy XIII. Maybe time for something a little more reflex-oriented now.

Hmm...too many options to create a poll. 🙁

What say you, AT*? Please post why you think I should or should not play a particular game.

*Results are not binding and I reserve the right to say screw AT's opinion and play whatever I want ()🙂

I have to vote for Read Dead. I just finished it and loved it the whole way through 🙂 You must be another person like myself that piles up more games than he possibly has time to play. 😛

1) Metal Gear Solid 4
2) God of War 3
3) Kirby's Epic Yarn

Also, Demons Souls is so hard, that out of monkey-like rage and anger you will end up throwing your own shit at your TV, just by starting a game.

I know I'll be in the minority but I say The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks. Zelda games are always solid and never bad and you could relax in bed and play. You have other better games on there but I'd play that first.

I'll list them in the order you should play them:

Demon's Souls

|
God of War 3
Disgaea 3 - Absence of Justice
Assassin's Creed Brotherhood
Red Dead Redemption
Lost Planet
Metal Gear Solid 4
Kirby's Epic Yarn
Legend of Zelda - Spirit Tracks
Epic Mickey
Nights: Journey of Dreams
Star Ocean - The Last Hope International

I disagree in the case of both PH and Spirit Tracks. I was disappointed sorely by both. Spirit Tracks is also just PH, but even more restrictive, as you can't even choose your own lines of travel.

On that list, AC Brotherhood for sure. Loved every minute of that game.

Dont bother with MGS4 unless you've played 1-3. The game itself isnt really all that great, and there are hour plus long stretches where you dont even need to touch the controller. Most of that being an absolutely insane story that lots of people seem to be into, but having played only 2 and then 4, well, just sounds insane and stupid.

Kibry's epic yarn is for babies. I normally love first party nintendo games, but I felt like I might as well have been watching teletubbies while I was playing it.

Red dead was also overhyped IMO - I could see some of the brilliance in it, but I didnt find the characters endearing, I didnt find the missions all exciting, and the travel time and the barren wasteland you have to spend so much time traveling through just didnt do it for me. It doesnt have the charm that liberty city has - its all just shrubbery with the occasional coyote and/or bandit.

I liked them and they've still gotten good reviews but yes they aren't as open as older Zelda games.

Either Assassin's Creed Brotherhood or Epic Mickey. I've played neither but have heard great reviews from ACB and I know that warcrow really liked Mickey.

I finished Lost Planet a few weeks ago...don't waste your time.

I say Brotherhood or Red Dead. Loved both games. I think I'm going to play through Red Dead again this week.

I actually just started the other Zelda DS game: Phantom Hourglass. It's actually the 1st Zelda game I've ever played believe it or not! I find it pretty fun so far, my only complaint is with the controls. While they work in some ways, it's annoying to use the touch screen for *everything* because I find my hand covers half the screen 90% of the time.

I want to try AC next (currently on Bioshock 2). Red Dead was awesome for the first 1/4 or so but then it just got boring to me. It was so repetitive, granted that's true for most games but for some reason Rockstar games just bore me quicker than others.

I wouldn't even bother with lost planet... like ever. Just don't. You seem to have much better games to play.

Red Dead or God of War 3 have been the most memorable to me as of late. GoW3 was just so epic in the first 2 levels that it's hard to not recommend. Red Dead is another quality Rock Star product that is more about the feel and the story than the actual gameplay. If you haven't played GTA4, then you'll notice the shooting is quite easy as you just hold one trigger to lock on to an enemy and another to shoot. You can try free aiming but then it becomes TOO free and hard to hit anything. Still a great game.

I'm nearing the end of Brotherhood myself and while good, it seems to be a step back in a few areas compared to AC2. They added more crap to do in this one, but a whole bunch of NPC and graphical glitches have popped up that weren't in the other one. It really makes it feel sloppy and rushed, especially if you beat the 2nd one recently as you'll remember it well. I'll finish it but I haven't been that impressed.

Demon's Souls.

Having said that, if you run head on into groups of enemies in Demon's Souls, you're going to quickly learn to hate that game. It's very much a game about taking a methodical approach to dispatching enemies, preferably one at a time. Don't be afraid to fall back a bit, get your bearings, and then move up again to fight.

It's a great game, definitely one of the better games on your list, but it's old school as hell, and there's no hand holding to speak of.

Demon's Souls. One of the hardest and most gratifying games I've ever played. And if you need help, I can show up in soul form to help you on some of the levels 😀

Good replies, everyone, thanks. Yup, I tend to buy more games than I have time to play. I'm still catching up on my Gamecube and PC games!

I enjoyed Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, but it wasn't as good as some other Zelda's.

You guys are scaring me away from Demon's Souls. If I have to repeat a boss battle more than 3 times, I get frustrated. :'(

I really enjoyed Assassin's Creed 2.

Never played MGS 1,2, or 3. I tried MGS4 when I first got my PS3, but got turned off by the long cutscenes. I got as far as the Arms Dealer. The gameplay seemed fun though. I just felt like playing something more fast-paced at the time.

I actually picked up Kirby's Epic Yarn for my 5-year-old, and she loves it. It looks fun though, so I think I'd like to try it sometime.

Lost Planet was that bad, eh?

Metal Gear Solid 4

I'm going to make this easy as possible for you. Here is the path I recommend. It takes into account playtime, theme and gameplay mechanics for each title so there is a least amount of fatigue.

Have fun!

1 - Kirby's Epic Yarn
2 - God of War 3
3 - Assassin's Creed Brotherhood
4 - Legend of Zelda - Spirit Tracks
5 - Demon's Souls
6 - Epic Mickey
7 - Red Dead Redemption

(the rest are up to you)
Star Ocean - The Last Hope International
Disgaea 3 - Absence of Justice
Lost Planet
Metal Gear Solid 4
Nights: Journey of Dreams

You'll die several times just getting to the boss, then the boss usually has some odd trick to make it less annoying. There's no mid-mission saves, when you die you lose your souls (which is your currency and XP) and have to start the level over with HALF HEALTH and all the enemies respawn. If you can get back to your corpse you'll get your souls back, if you die before that those souls (and all of your unspent money/XP) is gone forever.

I gave it an honest shot and then sold it. It takes a special type of hardcore gamer to enjoy such a thing. I didn't care for the vast majority of it.

I think you are correct for the most part, but I remember that Majora's Mask? or whatever it was for N64...

possibly the worst game I have ever played. ever. so sad, considering Ocarina is one of the top games, let alone console games ever made.

Really?! Majora's Mask is one of my favorite games. A lot of people rank it even higher than OoT, although I think OoT is better.

I prefer Majora's Mask over Wind Waker and much more over Twilight Princess.

It might not be the game for you. Unless you spend some time soul farming (level grinding), the bosses will be pretty challenging, and it's sometimes tough to stay alive long enough to formulate a strategy for next time. For the first few hours that I played, I thought, "Now I know what someone means when they complain that Dead Rising is too hard."

There's no mid-mission saves, when you die you lose your souls (which is your currency and XP) and have to start the level over with HALF HEALTH and all the enemies respawn.
If I was having trouble with a specific tough enemy, I would backtrack to the Archstone and warp back to the Nexus to spend souls, leaving fewer at risk.

PS3
Demon's Souls Dunno, haven't played it.
Star Ocean - The Last Hope International Overall, its crap, but it has its good moments. If you happen to be in the mood for some Sci-Fi, and RPG, I would go for it.
Disgaea 3 - Absence of Justice Dunno.
Assassin's Creed Brotherhood The previous 2 were terrible, don't know about this one.
God of War 3 Dunno.
Red Dead Redemption Loved the first 2/3 of this.
Lost Planet Crap.
Metal Gear Solid 4 Dunno.

DSi
Legend of Zelda - Spirit Tracks Lame.

Wii
Epic Mickey Dunno.
Nights: Journey of Dreams Crap.
Kirby's Epic Yarn Awesome. Play this. Okay, I haven't actually played this, but this seems like the most interesting of the bunch. At least to me.

I would go with Kirby.
