Terrorism is not unknown in Israel. Everyone knows someone whose family, friend, or acquaintance has been in the proximity of an attack or injured themselves.
In August of this year, the Sbarro Pizza parlor in downtown Jerusalem was the scene of a horrific suicide bombing that left over 100 people dead or injured. Nevertheless, there was some good news in the aftermath of the incident. That comes from Haya Schijveschuurder, 8, who lost her parents and three of her brothers and sisters.
Nevertheless, when being interviewed on Israeli television, she displayed the depth of her love and understanding of God. She reported that she was a "happy girl, and I want to be that way again," despite the tragedy she is facing. "Everything that happens here, it's all a miracle and nothing happens for no reason, and God knows what he's doing. He wants to tell us that we need to behave better, and that soon the Messiah will come, and that then all the dead will rise again," said Haya.
