Out of sync audio with GH3 for the Wii?

I was playing the other night and expeirienced some out of sync audio which of course really threw me off on the song. I reset the system and play again. First song through, audio fine, next song, out of sync audio again. I inspected the game disc, fine, not a scratch on it. Anyone else having this issue?

I just picked this game up last night and the first run through I had this exact problem.. the song was either skipping or faster than the notes being played.

Try unplugging the wiimote from the guitar being careful not to hold the tremolo in or the strummer or the analog stick on the top then take your game out and put it back in. Did the trick for me.

I restarted the songs tons of times and it never went away until I disconnected and reconnected the controller and took the disc out and put it back in.. I found a few other people on the net with the same problem but no resolution was ever given. Sounds buggy.

The Wii version is pretty buggy. Between this issue, Mono Sound, no quickplay co-op, online play being wonky and the outfits for the characters not working correctly. Hopefully these issues will be fixed when they get around to replacing the discs.

I'm hoping so too.. I cannot find anything on the Activision support page about being out of sync but google turns up a few people with this issue.

I hope it isn't consistent.. and that they send out new discs relatively soon for this if it is.

I've submitted a support ticket with Activision on the issue and will report back anything I find.

I never noticed a problem until the other night. I've gotten as far as completing about 23 songs and it's never happened until just the other night after a couple of weeks of not being able to play.

Guess I got lucky right out of the gate

great way to start out considering I've been trying to find this game forever and finally did to find this little gem.

I was hoping that my recent move didn't jostle the Wii too much. I figure it wasn't handled anymore roughly than it would have when it was shipped over from Japan.

My Wii is a pretty hardy little machine. It pretty much lives in my backpack being transported from place and place and still works perfectly. (althought my cd-drive did need to be replaced a few months ago)

*Edit*
I think Activision was hoping that noone would notice/care about the mono sound bug.

I haven't noticed the mono bug since I run the Wii sound through my TV speakers.

Does anyone remember the Back To The Future DVD box set screw up? How long did it take to get new movies out?

They claim early 08... I think they were quietly hoping no one would make a big fuss.

It's kind of classless that they deny the bug exists for quite awhile and only respond when a lawsuit is threatened for false advertising.. then they say that only 'some' users noticed the bug in their forced statement release. This game seems to be riddled with bugs that they just didn't seem to give a shit about.

Hopefully when they re-release the disc they will take this opportunity to finish the fucking game this time.

This is wishful thinking but maybe as a way to 'apologize' they include a coupon code to download a free song pack. Even if it's only a song or two, it'd be a nice gesture.

It's kind of amusing that they we sort of working against themselves by creating a community where everyone could find out about the bug and complain about it. I didn't know about the bug until I saw it on the GH3 Forums. Most people I know who have the game didn't know about the bug until I told them about it.

Thanks for contacing customer support.

Make sure that your cables are correctly connected, and that you do not have the right and left channel switched.

Please note that some songs will have parts that are quiet or where the sound is subdued. This is intentional and by design.

You may also have a bad disc. Try the game on another Wii. If you are getting the same error, then exchange the game at the retailer for another copy of the game.

If you have any other questions, please contact customer support through the website.

None of those replies explain my question. What would audio cables being switched have to do with audio being way too fast or way too slow? The game is mono anyway since you guys forgot to beta test it. The game disc was brand new out of the box and works most often than not. I've seen a few other people with this problem on the net.

Its pretty ironic that their solution to fixing audio problems in a mono game is to switch the audio cables.

That's kinda what I thought lol, my scathing reply was well received :D

He asked me what kind of TV I had next, trying to pin an HDTV problem on me but no avail.

I noticed this the most with the Guitar Hero encore 80's for ps2, the delay from the music to the game was so out of sync for me it felt nearly unplayable.

Well, to be fair, if you do have an HDTV, there is more than likely to be some lag due to the scaling. Some are worse than others, up to half a second even. Have you tried to lag calibration in the options? Or is it just periodic lag in certain songs etc?

I don't have an HDTV...

Plus it's not a lag issue, it's intermittent and it's a lot longer than any lag would be, we're talking like 4-5 seconds ahead or behind the song.

I had Rock Band lag on my friend CRT, it was like ~22ms out of sync. Calibration fixed it just fine. But if he is talking about the same problem I've encountered once or twice changing the sync won't fix it.
