Pretty awful to need a huge rebate to get to $230. There was an MSI 6650XT that was $250 with a $20 rebate to get to $230 but it's sold out now.

Indeed. It's not something I would ever do. I've had few problems in the past with receiving my rebates of $10-30 from all the notorious players, most of them now defunct (I pretty much include Newegg in the "defunct" category). But I did have a $20 rebate from my current EVGA PSU from ~2018 never materialize, so I just avoid them altogether. I didn't really fight that one, which is my problem.

a $190 is unconscionable and almost certainly would be a scam.
