*OUT OF STOCK* 9/29 Logitech G7 Wireless Gaming Mouse for $26.95 shipped AR

I'd say much better than the MX1000. I have both the G5 and the G7 and I really miss the extra forward button.

does anyone know if they are shipping out the older (green silver) or newer (black/silver) models from buy.com? Their website shows the older one, but im guessing that they just havent updated their pictures. Has anyone ordered one anytime recently? I really wanna pull the trigger on this, but like the previous poster said, I would really prefer the newer model.

They refused my price adjustment because I used a coupon! I'll just refuse the shipment when it gets here and re-order a new one now, with the $5 off 50 coupon instead of the 5%. Jokes on them!

A good way to find out is if the old model looks have the same part # as the new model looks. If the new model has a diff part # than what's on the rebate you know it ISNT the new model. If theyre the same part # mystery still exists. When I get done w/class I'll look it up if someone else already hasn't...Been waiting for this mouse to go on sale but yah that old model is fugly

The old G7 doesn't really look all that bad once you have it in your hands. Most pictures on the net just do not do it justice.

Ok. Parts number on the rebate matches what parts number Buy.com has, and also the parts number is the same on the logitech.com website if you want to buy direct from Logitech for $99.

the $5 off only works for new customers. Logitech sometimes offer up to $50 rebate for the G7 (mouse alone, no G15 purchase required)--got one at Amazon a few months back.

Been cheaper, but decently hot....only downside: no forward button. 🙁

The forward button on this mouse would have been a no-brainer must buy.

Exactly. I really, really want to try this mouse, but the single button kills it for me. I use the fwd button wqay too often now to start using a mouse without one.

As it is, I guess I'll just have to stick with my mx-510. Why oh why Logitech did you do this to us? 🙁

Thanks OP in for one. I heard the battery on this mouse is not that great, it has to be changed every 5 hours or so, is this true?

There are 2 batteries. Charge one while ya use the other. There is 2 different charging modes on the charger. Normal and boost. It says normal takes 10 hours and boost takes 2 hours. I am unsure as to how long these charges last though.

look up the MX500, MX510, MX518 model, those have 2 buttons between thumb and index finger. G7, G5 only has one button.

And it's a non-issue. The G5/G7 has two tilt scroll wheel buttons that the MX500/510/518 don't have. Map those and now you have forward and anything you want buttons.
