If I buy an item online, say newegg or walmart - and have it shipped to a state they don't have a facility at, I don't get taxed.

But, if I were to drive over to that state to buy it in person, I would have to pay that sales tax. (say purchasing something heavy or worth the cost of the drive over)

So how can I get the item without having to pay sales tax while being able to pick it up? I want to buy something in another state, but on their web they don't have a pickup option.

Lol. Government will always find a way to collect its taxes. How else will it pay union salaries and pensions?

And no, you will be charged sales tax no matter what.

I love living in Oregon. I know they probably get me somewhere else, but not having to worry about a sales tax is awesome.
