Out of round tire - mounting expense reimbursement?

so i bought 2 tires from discounttiredirect. after it was mounted/balanced, the mechanic found one tire to be out of round. called up DTT got a replacement tire and had to pay another mount/balance.

do you guys know if DTT will reimburse me for the new tire mount? since i was given a defective tire...
 
would take some smooth talking. but frankly no.

tires are always a gamble. i've had some that were out of round but after i moved the tire around a couple of times i was able to get it needing very little weights. A guy i knew bought it used and screwed.
 
It may be worth a call to the tire manufacturer - they might give you a coupon or something for future purchases.
 
jlee is right. Squeaky wheel might get some oil here, the worst you can do is waste a few minutes with calls and emails.
