Out of office gatherings

I don't mind going to events like the company Christmas party, probably just because I go there planning on getting wasted, and it usually works out -- plus, for that, I at least get to bring a date.

Once and a while there are random gatherings though, like one coming up tomorrow at my bosses house. I announced 2 days ago that I'm quitting this job, and I have absolutely no desire to go. Today during a meeting, though, my boss brings it up in front of everyone and tells me that "I just have to come" and basically makes me commit to going.

I think it would be completely awkward, and to be quite honest, I have better stuff to do. Do I just not show up, or what?

Friday is my last day.

I'd say no.

Decisions like these, I usually end up going with my true feelings.

You don't want to go, so don't. No bigee. You're a grownup, you can do what you want.

I like them, because I'm the one who plans them and i'm in charge of the budget.

So we only do things I want to do, ex: Giants Game, Go Karting, Wine Tasting, Warriors Game...

Whack off in the guest bedroom maybe?

Why would he want you to come to his house as you're leaving the company?

I suppose he could be making the announcement that he's promoting you to VP.

Yeah, this is probably at least partially a going away party for you. It may be a good opportunity to try and get with any coworkers that it was a bad idea to get with when they were your coworkers...errr...yeah.

This is a good opportunity to bang boss' daughter on the table in the dining room.
