Yep... the evangelicals aren't to blame at all. They might not take credit, but they can certainly be credited with, at the very least, fanning the flames of homophobia there.

As opposed to the long standing traditions of acceptance and tolerance of homosexuals among Islam huh? Fundies, are fundies, fundies.

Diverting from the topic at hand?

Those people are nuts too. I'm just saying that these particular fundies fanned the flames with their rhetoric - they just don't want to take responsibility for the actions that other people took after being incited by it.

How does saying "convert gays to be straight" incite people to kill gays? It doesn't really make sense in addition to the fact there's no evidence that the murder was incited by the Americans.

Okay, ignore the rest of what they said.

how gay men sodomized teenage boys and how “the gay movement is an evil institution”

I will concede that there isn't a direct connection, but their actions certainly fan flames of homophobia where it is already a hot issue.

Nope, not at all. The entire point of the topic is to try point out the hypocrisy of christianity when it sarcastically sites islame as the "Religion of Peace" when something bad is done by a muslim.

wtf is this "our religion" shit? are you a Christian Evangelical? Are you a Christian fundamental? No? Then wtf is this "our" shit? Last I checked the United States of America had no state religion, nor do we share a single religion, nor do we promote any religion as an entity.

I'm glad you concede there's not a direct connection, but there's not really a loose connection either.

Groups criticize other groups all the time. People demonize christians too. Doesn't really have anything to do with violence committed until you advocate violence. But hey maybe you thought Sarah Palin was a cause of the AZ shooting too?
