Our own DC Repository?

Since the original DC Repository shut down recently, has anyone here (or on another team) given thought to the possibility of having another site with stats listing how each team is doing in each project?

I would point at GeoffS (due to his great job at stats already), but between TAStats.com and D2OL races and rallies, I'm sure most of his free time is accounted for already for the next couple of weeks, months, etc.

Technically, it might be possible to do this by hand if someone was really dedicated, but a script to do it would make things much simpler in the long run.

Maybe I could help writing some scripts for the stats, but for every project is a little time consuming.
I've got a pretty good experience with Perl and have (I think) enough knowledge to fetch everything from every site, do some calculations on it and put in in a database.

I don't recall exactly how the repository looked like, so could you give me an idea? Only the position of the team and the output for the day?

Hmmm...I wish I had a cache of it from when it was still up and going...It's somewhat hard to describe in words, as it was a ranking system for teams by categories of projects (Math, Physical Science (DPAD, SETI, etc.), Medical Science (D2OL, FaD, etc.), etc.) and then a total ranking. For each time in each project it gave their rank, their % participation in that project and points were awarded for that that gave each time a points ranking for that category. I don't know the formula for how it was calculated, though

If you do a search on google it has it in the cache but I can't link to it for some reason and if someone could get in touch with meremortal maybe he would let us use his scripts?

I've found a few pages in the Google cache, see the links below. Don't mind the language of the Google header, couldn't change it for you people 😉 But looking at this, it's not something I can make without knowing what kind of calculations MM made on it..

* Team Anandtech overview
* Overview all teams: (Sorry, you'll have to copy/paste, the forums link function doesn't work on this one..

!!! Do not forget to remove the whitespace behind 'q=cache:' and before 'Q' (was a smiley) !!!

could you explain it a little bit more? I'm totally not into DCing but I wanna do some PHP/Mysql programming 🙂
