with every passing day, sheehan unfurls a new embarrassment for her growing fan-base to eat up and look past
as they try to pump life into the sorriest, most faltering anti-war 'movement' ever.

people laugh at her delusions that 'thousands of angels' are being marshalled in heaven against bush and company,
but look at her troops on earth !! look at this shrill, hysterical, thoroughly designed, and utterly feeble publicity stunt
down in texas. how are the imaginary angels not a better choice ?

al sharpton arrived just when his people counted the right number of camera trucks. marty sheen dusted himself
off long enough to make an appearance. m.moore is quenching his partisan bloodthirst.

our sad liberals will never galvanize any number of people outside their small in-bred ideological world as long
as they champion people like sheehan who see murderers (of her son) as 'freedom fighters', blame the united
states and isreal as THE causes of terrorism, and advocate we turn coward in the face of leftover ba'athists and
islamo-fascists in iraq, among other insightful observations.

thankfully, like her son, the nation wont be going AWOL, despite her recommendations.

Sheehan is a distinct second to the Dub when it comes to galvanizing the American Public against his Excellent Adventure in Iraq

When you get old and senile to the point where you talk semi-coherently, the young attendants in the Home, not knowing who she is/was, will think she was the woman that broke your heart. They'll try to console you with, "She must have been a wonderful woman for you to talk about so much. How sweet." With a smile on their face, they'll feed you some more mush.

Finally I agree with Syzygy on something:

symbols of desperation multiply

So desperate to cover up lie and send more off to die! Just don't let it be you!

by your own reasoning then, sheehan is about as much right as bush was. brilliant.

what you meant to say was that sheehan's stunt is necessary for attention-hungry people
who cannot reconcile the national desire for us and the iraqi people to win.

since sheehan, and other libs, think us terrorists, and the murderers of american soldiers
and iraqi civilians as 'freedom fighters', i can see why the desperation is reaching a terminal
level.

Again, the only desparation is the administration trying to shift focus away from the shi!!y war (and the polls are showing it) or justify the war. The goal post is ever shifting...

Well over 50% of the US people think this war wasn't worth going into. It's increasing ever so slowly! About time they woke up.....

Now that's a stretch. To0 be honest I haven't been following Sheehan's act at all except for what I have read here at P&N. From the looks of the threads it seems that the Dub Apologists have rallied against her and have used her to label all those who are against this war or, like myself, very critical of the Dub for getting us in this mess as some kind of extremists. Very typical of single minded individualos looking to validate their beliefs.

what you meant to say was that sheehan's stunt is necessary for attention-hungry people

If by attention huingry you mean to expose this war as a sham then yes you are right. On the other hand if you mean to garner attention for herself then I couldn't really say as I have stated earlier in this post, I haven't been giving her much attention, not even close to the attention that the right winger Dub apologists have been giving her.

since sheehan, and other libs, think us terrorists, and the murderers of american soldiers

Well I can't speak for others but I can say that I couldn't give a rat's ass about the Iraqi's (and I bet the vast majority of Americans feel the same way) but I realize that we made situations worse for ourselves (our National Security) getting into this FUBAR of a war and that pulling out now would just compound the fsck up the Dub made. Frankly I don't believe that Iraq or the Iraqi's are worth one American Soldiers life but we've made the situation there so unstable that if we were to pull out now it would cost more American lives than it would have if we hadn't of screwed up and invaded Iraq the first place.

As a leader the Dub and his handlers failed us by getting us into this mess and he deserves all the critisism he gets for it.

since you have not been following the events too closely, i suggest you start. it would
help your arguement tremendously.

as for not giving a 'rat's ass about the iraqis', you shouldn't be involved in the discussion.

come back when you have a second clue and some concern about the iraqis.

oh, and tell sheehan that the murderers of american soldiers and innocent iraqi civilians are not 'freedom fighters'. cheers.

Considering something like 58% of people DISAPPROVE of this President and over 60% think the Iraq situation is a mess and being handled improperly, either this entire country is turning liberal or, more accurately, the conservative sheep who ignored the problems and believed the lies and propaganda are waking up to reality.

And he's (Red Dawn) right. Most people I know don't give a rat's ass about the Iraqis (and why should we?)
Don't go off on some rant about how we should care about them, because there's plenty of other countries just as bad off that we also don't give a rat's ass about.

Yeah. This was all instigated because of Bush's love of the Iraqi people.

If you believe that, you're stupider than Bush. Even Bush doesn't believe that. Bush believes he's ushering the world into "The End Times".

Syzygy, does it bother you much that everything the anti-war movement said would happen if The Fool invaded Iraq has and is still happening over two years and five months after Bush initiated his unprovoked attack on Iraq? How does being right translate into a mis-adventure?

The mis-adventure is Bush's. And more Americans are awakening to that fact daily. So go back to your office at whatever White House propaganda agency you work for and dream up something a little more believable. No one outside the White House (and a few morons here at P&N) are buying your bullsh!t anymore.

The few idiots who still support Bush on this war having nothing else they can talk about except Cindy Sheehan.

Thats why they keep flooding the forum with Sheehan threads.

If you really cared about the Iraqi people you would kill them so they can be free. Try to understand that Saddam killed them so they could not be free. What kind of fool can't see that we are better.

There is only one truth and it is that the only way to make people free is to kill them. You must kill their leaders by collateral damage. You must kill their soldiers by collateral damage. You must kill their women and children by collateral damage till they want to be free. There is good and there is evil. We are good. You are either for us or against us. We will bring you water and electricity and things to buy like nice marble tomb stones and heaven.

A few of today's Democracy Now! headlines from and of Iraq that epotimize the very definiton of mis-adventure.

Louisiana National Guard Equipment in Iraq
The war in Iraq may also play a role in the recovery and cleanup of the hurricane. Earlier this month the Louisiana National Guard publicly complained that too much of its equipment was in Iraq. The local ABC news affiliate reported dozens of high water vehicles, Humvees, refuelers and generators are now abroad.

Shiites and Kurds Agree on Constitution; Sunnis Reject Draft
In Iraq, Shiite and Kurdish members of Iraq's constitution drafting committee have agreed on a draft charter but Sunni Arab lawmakers have largely rejected the document. Some members of the drafting committee signed the draft charter but in a surprise move the full National Assembly never took a vote. A nationwide referendum on the constitution is now scheduled for Oct. 15. On Sunday President Bush attempted to downplay the Sunni opposition to the draft constitution. "Some Sunnis have expressed reservations about various provisions of the constitution, and that's their right as free individuals living in a free society," Bush said. "There are strong beliefs among other Sunnis that this constitution is good for all Iraqis and that it adequately reflects compromises suitable to all groups. Sunnis are warning that the constitution could lead to civil war because it will allow Shiites to create an autonomous government in the oil-rich south.

Iraqi Woman Who Met W/ Bushes Now Criticizes Constitution
Iraqi women have also criticized the draft constitution for not going far enough to safeguard women's rights. One critic of the new constitution is Safia Taleb al-Souhail - who just months ago was hailed by the Bush administration as a symbol of the possibility of a brighter future for Iraq. In February she sat with Laura Bush during President Bush's state of the union and held up her finger died purple to show that she recently voted in Iraq's first elections since the invasion. But now she is criticizing the new constitution. She told the Independent of London "When we came back from exile, we thought we were going to improve rights and the position of women. But look what has happened: we have lost all the gains we made over the past 30 years. It's a big disappointment."

Reuters Sound Technician Killed by U.S. Troops in Iraq
In Baghdad, a sound technician working for the Reuters news agency was shot dead by U.S. forces on Sunday. This according to the Iraqi police. Waleed Khaled died after being shot in the head. After the shooting the U.S. detained a Reuters cameraman who witnessed the killing. The team was on assignment covering the killing of two police men. The U.S. ambassador to Iraq Zalmay Khalilzad promised a full investigation into the incident but he fell short of apologizing for the killing.

Thousands Rally At Camp Casey in Crawford Texas
In Crawford, Texas, the anti-war vigil led by Cindy Sheehan has entered its 24th day outside President Bush's 1,600 acre estate. Over the weekend thousands of military families, veterans and anti-war activists gathered for the final weekend of the vigil. Former U.S. diplomat Ann Wright -- who has been running much of Camp Casey -- is now estimating that up to 10,000 people have visited the camp since the vigil was launched on Aug. 6. This is Iraq War veteran Sean O'Neill: "I know too many good men that died out there who left behind families, widows, children that will grow up without their fathers. And for what?"

Pentagon Official Demoted After Criticizing Halliburton Deal
A high-level Pentagon official has been demoted after she publicly criticized the Pentagon's decision to give Halliburton no-bid contracts in Iraq worth billions of dollars. The officer -- Bunnatine Greenhouse -- had worked at the Pentagon for 20 years. Since 1998 she has served as the chief overseer of contracts at the Army Corps of Engineers. Last year Greenhouse went public to criticize the contracts involving Halliburton subsidiary Kellogg Brown & Root. She said, "I can unequivocally state that the abuse related to contracts awarded to KBR represents the most blatant and improper abuse I have witnessed."

what anti-war movement ? such silly presumptions. unless you mean the lone sheehans
of the world who beleive the ex-ba'athists and islamo-fascists are 'freedom fighters' then
you have nothing to label an 'anti-war movement'. that was the point of this thread.

if you want to start another one, rent a few communication trucks, park them outside
your den, and wait for al sharpton to arrive. there is your anti-war movement.

i'm curious if this is the same 'anti-war movement' that cheered saddam's downfall,
the nearly 60% voter turnout despite constant attacks from those savages, and the
work on a nation-wide consitution. would that be the same anti-war movement you're
alluding to ? are those the same predictions ?

or is it the one misrepresenting the sacrifices of our soldiers, like that 'fruit' in texas
is doing, hoping we surrender and leave the fledgling democracy to the hands of those
loving freedom fighters ? ? ? just curious, ya see.

The anti-war movement that SCREAMED at Bush NOT TO INVADE IRAQ -- millions of people around the world -- that Bush ignored.

And now he's trying to hide his lies behind another lie -- "intelligence failure" -- when we ALL KNOW BECAUSE WE WERE THERE THAT BUSH INVADED IRAQ WITHOUT CAUSE OR JUSTIFICATION. Intelligence failure my A$$. How can Bush have an intelligence failure when he never had any intelligence to begin with?

And neither do you Bushies who keep insisting we believe your know risible version of events.

The sacrifices of our soldiers were misrepresented by BUSH when he lied about the threat Iraq posed and the need to invade immediately that led to this carnage. The blood of thousands of soldiers and innocent Iraqi civilians INCLUDING CHILDREN AND WOMEN is on Bush's hands and the hands of every fool who supported the murdering band of war profiteers.

The blood of thousands of soldiers and innocent Iraqi civilians INCLUDING CHILDREN AND WOMEN is on Bush's hands and the hands of every fool who supported the murdering band of war profiteers.

when you find the first lie, let us know. i'll have the dictionary open to remind you of
the definition of the word, just in case you want to scratch.

ho hum:

-saddam's iraq was a home and a supporter abroad of many terrorist groups
and individuals. in a post-9/11 world, that is not a good thing.

-dr. kay's report proved that saddam lied again - for the third time - by failing to
meet the standards set by 1441.

-saddam himself admitted to his geopolitcal rational when asked why he did not
comply with the inspection regimes.

-the int'l force in iraq will shepherd the people through these travails until there are
able to manage their own secuirty threats.

-the iraqi people support the democratic process. mind you, i said iraqi people, as in
law-abiding citizens, and not the 'freedom fighters' who are murdering american
soldiers and iraqi children. sorry cindy.

oh, how's al doing ?
