I just got turned onto them by my gf. They are sooo good! This is the first alternative band i've ever really listen to and actually liked. I think the only other alternative band that i thought was ok was Guns and Roses (actually, only November Rain and Paradise City were good).

I kinda like old OLP more than the new stuff.

gf and i were supposed to goto the OLP concert in Chicago, but things changed and we're on a break :S

my gf and i *discussed our break* (aka broke up to....) either Life, Somewhere Out there, or Are you Sad. She wanted to break up to some Dashboard Confessional song (notorious for break ups).
I can't stop listening to the same songs over and over. Good stuff for anybody looking for a new sound.

Their new song is pretty good. So is the rest of the album, from what I hear. I still like their older stuff better (I've only heard "Lucky" and "Clumsy," though, so I really don't have much to base it on).

I dunno, their newer stuff is alright but it is nothing compared to their first album, "Naveed"...Starseed is such an awesome song (Naveed is a good song too)

Yea, thats what I was thinking.

Our Lady Peace is a really good band......I have two of their CDs, Clumsy and Spiritual Machines.

Umm, how do you break up to a song?

Dashboard Confessional is traditional break up music...it kinda sets the mood and prepares you for what's about to happen. I thought Guns N Roses was alternative....goes to show what i know :p

I HATED guitar before OLP, but now i'm starting to like it.

Our Lady Peace rocks!

If you get a chance you should see them live. I saw them last year and it was a great show.

i highly suggest the Imagine cover by OLP. Absolutely amazing. Clumsy was their best album, followed by Naveed.

Breaking up to a song, especially DC? What kinda prissy ass crap is that? Who does that outside of 10th grade?

OLP is really good - their concerts are awesome. I got the chance to see and record them in canada a couple years back with foo fighters and smashing pumpkins - now THAT was a heck of a show! Definitely catch them live if you can!

Dashboard Confessional and breakup songs?? WTF is a breakup song?? And I caught DC playing with Weezer a couple weeks ago....I really didn't like them at all. None of their songs seemed really good. I dunno, maybe its too mellow for me or somethin....

"4 AM" is also a great song.

I got tuned into them when Superman's Dead came out (along with the "Clumsy" CD, which my cousin bought). They're good. "Naveed" is also real good :)

I never liked Dashboard Confessional, but it's well known for "break up songs", or so my gf told me when we started dating. And for the record, i'm not the one that wanted to break up to a song...she did. Rather convenient how she asked me to put some Dashboard Confessional music on the last CD i made a day or two before we decided we needed a "break". I dunno...i find the whole situation kinda silly, but stuff happens, so i can only take it one day at a time.

KISS's "Love 'em Leave 'em" is the ultimate "breakup" song! ;)

Never heard of a breakup song before, that's just weird.

That's what I was thinking. Maybe that's a new thing with the kids today ;) (damn it, now I feel old)

Dashboard Confessional is sooooo depressing. I want to cut my wrists every time "Screaming Infildelities" comes on the radio.

I always thought of Dashboard Confessional to be a bunch of whiny guys who used to be punk, but couldnt do it, so they went to emo. :)

OLP in My opinion is the best band ever. I have seen 11 times in concert and I have never not seen a good show, i.e. off key, screw ups. They sound amazing in concert much better than their albums. Each of their cds is supposedly based on a theme. Thats why their sound changes a little each time, but the same at the core. I some them a few weeks ago in Atlanta with Ash, and Greenwheel. Greenwheel rocked, I picked up their cd its ok for their debut album, but they are great in concert. Ash completely sucked they were the second band to play, absolutely horrible.

My roomate loves Our Lady Peace, he's seen them in concert a few times. Personally, I think the music's kinda cool but I want to punch that singer in the throat to make him stop whining....i mean singing.
