Just looked in the phone book, no Mr. Toyota paying taxes in my town. They must be sending the profits back to Japan.

Do they mention in that ad what country the Silverado is actually manufactured in?

Nah, why would they want to confuse buyers with the facts...

Some are manufactured in Canada and some in Mexico, but most are manufactured here. Is there a problem with that?

lol, yes, look at the content of the ad. also look at all the rebadged daewoos sold under the chevrolet name.

It's not worse than Toyota trying to pose as American.

Hey, at least the Tundra is manufactured here.

What about engineering, marketing, financial decisions, board of directors, and the bulk of the shareholders?

I believe the design team for Toyota NA is in Torrance, CA.

it was designed, built, and engineered in the U.S.

as is the bulk of GM trucks...

I read somewhere once... The "Like A Rock" song that Chevy used to use... I read that when they first approached Bob Seager for it, he refused. Then someone went back and shamed him because his father was a lifelong worker in a chevy plant.

Dunno if it is true or not, but I thought it was interesting.

I should check snopes on it, huh?

Jeep did not help win WW2.

Willy's however, did ;)
