Our area's finally getting FiOS!

Never thought it would happen, to be honest. We're the suburbs (Lake Ridge, Woodbridge, VA), and there's virtually no competition here (turtle Verizon DSL vs light-fast Comcast cable, guess what most people choose).

Couple days ago, neighbor received a notice of FiOS coming to the area. Now, everywhere we look, we see people digging (my dad even claims that he saw people laying down red cables).

So hopefully, by November-ish, we should be able to abandon Comcrap.

I hate this area as far as ISPs go. They seem to be trying to outdo each other for not improving their service, and I swear that they've lowered upload speeds the last few years.

I dont think I could ever go back to cable / DSL; FiOS has spoiled me.

NC isn't Verizon territory. Well, it is for wireless, but that's it.
