I'm Chinese, and that stuff doesn't look good to me, I'm sorry.

The 7-11 crap here doesn't LOOK that bad. I just would rely on it giving me the craps, though.

Looks like regular sandwich with seaweed? I need someone to translate that one.

Another thing that looks interesting is the "shrimp or pork shumei" looking dish. That's the last thing I'd expect at a 7-11, dim-sums.

Hmmm...There are sushi boxes and stuff in the 7-11s around my area. But, there are also real sushi places too, and if it isn't fresh why bother.

It is funny how chains are regional. Like getting ramen at McDonalds in Hawaii, or Lobster Rolls at McDonalds in Nova Scotia. I hear the McRibb is a year round thing in the south, as opposed to a promotion in California. It does make sense, but then that familiar piece of home becomes foreign.

You probably have a better chance of finding someone who speaks English in other countries, too. :)

well, there are different perceptions and brand-image of 7-11 in Americas and Asia. 7-11 is precieved in HongKong (and perhaps Taiwan too) as an ultra-convienent store open for 24/7. You can get anything, anytime and anywhere (because they practically opened one everywhere). It is actually quite cool to hang out in 7-11, whereas in America I would just want to get in, pay, and get out.
Another reason for those attractive and delicious lunchboxes is because they are ALWAYS ppl around from midnight-till-6-in-the-morning, either for business or entertainment reasons. When most restuarants are closed during those hours, 7-11 naturally became the default 'restuarant.'

you have no idea how good those lunchbox (MSRP: $1.85 USD) taste when you are out of the bar and looking for munchies :) :) :)

They got em in Japan and they ROCK.

they are good, but a tad bit too sweet.
They are kinda like the upgraded version of McRibb.

they have hot dogs, but I don't think you would want to eat them because god knows how long those things have been sitting there for.

I used to eat there once a week on average.

Here's the link to the 7-11 Japan, can you navigate to the food place? Their site is more complicated.

7-11 here sucks! I love the 7-11 and the Family Marts overseas. I've been to the ones in Taiwan, Japan, and Thailand .. they're all way better than the ones here. The ones here sell too much junk and artery clogging foods.
