Apparently, the driver of this BMW tried to speed through the intersection just as the light was turning. He clipped another car, lost control, and spun into the metal pole seen in the picture.
Not sure what you're asking... insurance payout depends on what type of coverage he has. He won't just be handed the keys to a new 3-Series convertible, no.Originally posted by: jamesbond007
What happens in a situation like that anyways? Does the guy get a new car? Reimbursement?

The BMW kept the driver safe. Kudos to them.
The photographer's EF-S 60mm Macro seemed to do a good job too.

Won't he? So long as he has collision coverage, won't he just have to pay the deductable and get the value of the car as a payout? That car looks like a "total loss" so I think the insurance company would opt to pay cash rather than try to fix. His premiums will probably skyrocket.Originally posted by: AStar617 insurance payout depends on what type of coverage he has. He won't just be handed the keys to a new 3-Series convertible, no.
