Well, the professor's right, I slack off and don't do homework and that's why I'm gonna get a C. Still doesn't feel all that great having him tell you that. Maybe I'll study harder for the last week of class.... I have to study anyway since the final is coming up.

Be grateful that you are (apparently) learning this valuable lesson while only dipping to a C. It took a few Fs and a third year at a Junior college to hammer this factual lesson through my thick skull ;)

Hey, I got a C in Calc II because I failed my final... and didn't study or do homework, I guess that might have played a role. It's not the end of the world. Retake it if you have to improve your GPA, otherwise... don't sweat the small stuff.

...

C's passing. :)

If you control it, it wouldn't be destiny, would it?

In my "Introduction to Computer Science" class at Carnegie Mellon, I stopped going after the first week since it was really basic stuff I already knew, all the lessons/notes were on our network and all assignments could be turned in electronically.

When I showed up for the final (the only in-class test), the prof & I had this exchange while he was proctoring:

P: Excuse me, are you in this class?
M: Yeah, I'm [DWray]. (Showed my ID.)
P: Really? Wow, I have some papers for you.
Class: ((Laughs))

Got an A. But I wasn't so lucky in the real CS classes. I hate LISP...

One of the most important lessons in life is once a day is gone it is gone. So make the most of every single day.

You should never be able to say that you could have done better at something. You should always do your best. The only person who will know whether or not you did is you. If you don't do your best, you are letting yourself and no one else down.

Bah Im averaging 91% in calculus1 with barely any work done. Math is more about understanding stuff, when you dont understand verry well is when you have to do work. I dont what 91% is in letters tho. I guess a B+ or an A
