Ouch on technology prices

I remember all the $4500-$10K plasma screens just a few short years ago too...prices on them has REALLY fallen.

I bought a Samsung 42" 720P DLP last year for $1200. I made out like a bandit using a combination of a Circuit City sale, a CC 10% off coupon, and a GC from work for Employee of the Month.
 
that's how it has always been. in 1992, the price per MB was $1/MB. today, it can get as low as $0.37/GB. as technology improves, the technique to make it gets cheaper and the prices drop.
 
14months ago my dad bought a 42" LG Plasma 480p plasma screen for £1250. A few weeks ago we got a 50" 720p Panasonic one for £1600 with a 5yr warrenty included!
