HOLY CRAP, When did sports tickets get soooooo expensive? I just ordered tickets for the wife as a Christmas present and all I could get were cheap seats for $225 each. I was finding seats near the floor for over $2,000, the majority of the seats were $400~$800.

NBA tickets are WAY too expensive.

On a side note, I'm buying season tickets for our new ECHL hockey team. They are $460 for the entire season, and include 2 rounds of playoffs (if they make it).

I had to do it, the Lakers are the wife's team and all she ever wanted to do was see them play. She figured once she moved from California, her chances of seeing them play all but dissappeared. I can't wait to hear her scream along with the other 16,000 fans.

Edit: spelling and grammar, not content.

You get those through Ticketmaster? If not, then that's why they so darn expensive. Buying from scalpers or ticket brokers is usually going to cost you a lot more than getting them from ticketmaster or the box office.

Our tickets are section 115 row 14, closer to the floor than the box seats, and about the same as section 123 but on the opposite side of the court.

Its a "sold out" event according to ticketmaster.

Are you crazy? I can get Lakers tickets for as low as $10 depending on where you want to sit. Sports tickets are not that expansive at all, I go to games all the time. Usually $65 can get you a decent seat in a nba game. Unless you are talking about Super Bowl tickets, then that's a different story...

Then, it's not sporting event tickets that are so expensive, really. It's the scalpers and ticket brokers. Most any time you use a 3rd party for tickets to sold out events, you are going to be paying 2-10X the face value.

At least you got some, though. And you'll get to see the Lakers whip some Philly arse.

exactly. id never been to a lakers game, so when tickets went on sale, i jumped online, bought tickets for the clippers-lakers game, with the clippers being the home team. ticket prices are low for clipper games, and it still felt like a laker game. kobe had a triple double, lakers got their first win of the season, and i got to be on fox sports news after the game. good times. in summation, best way to see the lakers for a good price? buy tickets for a clippers home game against the lakers.
