Smaller-capacity flash-based mp3 players are pretty darn cheap now. Glad you found one to your liking ;)

What is this GC? Something you had lying around or is there a general offer for a gift certificate out?

Google Checkout. Make an account with your credit card and get $10 taken off right away making it $4.99 + tax depending on where you live shipped.

I forgot about 3btech. I used to buy white label hd's all the time from them when they were cheaper than everyone else. Now the prices are just about the same compared to brand name drives.

I got the 512MB one form Buy. Sitting in my drawer right now. Rarely used but hey it's got an AAA slot so not worried about battery life.
Not bad though, to be honest.

The m200 is over 2 years old which in itself is not necessarily a bad thing but it does make the $50 price bogus. More recent 2GB Sandisk models such as the c200, Express and the latest Clip are only $50-60.

FM and record are standard. Two of them are expandable with MicroSD cards and one is cableless. Batteries are rechargable (subjective dis/advantage). All are smaller and have better displays and interfaces. Audio quality is most likely better as well.

The 512MB one for $7 is prolly okay for young children but the one-time GCO coupon is not usually considered part of deal since any respectable cheap-bastard, err hot dealer, has long since used it. Not a thread crap, but merely playing Devil's Advocate  to put the "deal" in perspective.

From what I been reading, all the "hot dealers" know a way of making more then one google account still making this very hot if you know the way around it somehow.
