Ouch! Got my wisdom teeth pulled! How should I care for my teeth?

got them pulled because the dentist said they would create problems when I get older... one of my wisdom teeth was still under the gums, so he had to cut through and dig it out. :disgust:

the novacaine has worn out, and I feel the pain... I'm heisitant to brush cause there is alot of bleeding still

oh and I can't call the dentist now because he doesn't work on weekends.

What kind of medication did he prescribe?

none... I didn't think it was going to be this bad cause I was numb, I guess neither did he.

That's really wierd that he didn't perscribe something. Did any of your teeth break while he was removing them? If not you'll be fine... if they did you're in for one hell of a weekend. 😕

Make sure you wash your mouth out with salt alot to avoid infections. If you brush don't brush the back of your mouth and your breth will stink for the next few days no matter how many times you brush 😉

Well looks like you didn't get any antibiotics so I would wash the area with salt water after every meal and before you go to sleep. Sucks that he didn't give you any pain killers, go find the stongest over the counter if it presists to hurt.

Call him and he can prescribe you something over the phone.

I would definitely take advantage of it, as it is going to hurt for a few days.
