my camaro was sitting in my driveway for some time while i used the bus to commute to and from work... the radiator would leak like a beyotch any time i took the car out, so i didn't feel comfortable taking it more than 2 seconds away, in case. that and i was having various other problems (duh). well finally i fiddled around with some stuff and also replaced the radiator (whew only cost me about $100USD).. and it's running pretty good now. she was empty, so i put in $25 of "super" (probably only 91 octane). expectedly, this filled me from empty to about 3/4 tank full.
so then I drove for maybe 25-30 min (highway). then I drove maybe 15min back (highway), and then about 15min back again (home)... went to pick up gf (10 min away), went to movie (5 min away), came home (5 min away).... dropped off gf (10 min away) and now I'm at EMPTY. Was a little uncertain of how much fuel i had left... but considering i was even emptier before filling up and i made it to the gas station, i wasn't too worried.
but still.. that was $25! went up in flames. dang. still gotta fiddle with th car some more (mostly the air filter and plugging open hoses/vaccums), will probably help with the mileage a lot.
so yeah, can't wait till i get the '03 lancer for my daily home to work and back commuting..
cliff notes: 12:00pm - empty tank of gas. put in $25 of 'decent' gas.
1:10am - empty tank of gas
maybe 100-something KMs driven max..
