I'm in the southeast and run into Black Widows quite frequently, but never been bit. I always try to take pics when I find one but they never turn out clear.... 🙁
 
I was bitten by a poisonous spider... um a bit too close to certain areas.

I used nail clippers, a metal hook, and rubbing alcohol. Took care of it really quickly.

Cut off the top and dug down into the flesh with the hook. Then fill the hole with alcohol.

how did you know that was going to work?

I needed to get the poison/infection out. Seemed like the best way.
 
A guy at work was bitten by a BRS. He had a big red, nasty area the size of my shoe (size 10)....and this was 2 weeks after it happened. He was sick as hell and couldn't walk for a week.
