That's pretty amazing, but the lag was pretty obvious too. Terrific stuff anyway, can't wait to see where it goes!
 
I don't think it will go anywhere anytime soon. The amount of bandwidth needed for this to be reality is simply absurd, and the lag would be unbearable. And imagine what kind of systems the server would need to be (would need a complete system per client), and powering the server farm and cooling it. Cable companies would attempt to take things like this eagerly as an excuse to tiered services, or better yet, make the service as pay-as-you-go.

The cost for all this is prohibitively high, and even then the service would be neither reliable nor satisfactory. Don't get me wrong I have nothing against this 'technology' but this has been talked about for almost a year (mainly by cable company cartels) and I don't see it happening.
 
It's impressive, sure, but it's not cost effective and even a small spike in internet connection could make your experience less than satisfactory, not to mention online gaming is completely out of the question (streaming video, downloading server data, uploading client data, all while maintaining decent pings? yeah right).

I applaud the effort, especially when its brought to mobile phones but even then, mobile phones have more than enough power to play games MEANT for mobile phones; nobody wants to play Crysis or Left 4 Dead on an iPhone.

I noticed at about the half way point through the video, where the first shooting occurs, you can see when the player press the trigger button and see when the firing happens. There is a pretty significant delay between the last push of the trigger button and the last blast occurring on screen.
