What?s one your favorite inventions? When I came home the other night in the rain, hit the garage door opener button, I thought, pretty simple invention, but I like it! (simple things for simple minds) 🙂
 
CD player / CD-audio format -- sooo much better than viynl.

Computer related, but CDs also allow ripping to a HD with no loss of quality (thanks FLAC authors!) and while preserving track info.
