Hello, I've always used Windows, from 95 to 7. Considering trying an other OS. I don't like Mac, so the only other option I think is Linux? Are there different versions of it? Is it really worth it to try it? Will I have problems launching all kinds of windows-based software, games on Linux?

GNU/Linux is the biggest "other" O/S. There's some others that start with a minuscule market share, and go down from there.

There's tons of different versions.

Yes, it's worth trying.

You'll have extreme difficulty running Windows programs since they were made for Windows.

Yes, don't do that. If you go in hoping for a Windows clone/replacement you're setting yourself up for failure. It's a completely different OS with completely different methodologies for things so stick with the apps made for it.
