Where else do you go for your general automotive forum information?

My forum requirements:

1) Fairly active
2) Semi-intelligent userbase
3) Moderated to prevent trolls from dumping everywhere

I have a BMW, but their forums are full of kiddos trying to find the best looking piece of CF to tape on.

General ones are hard to come by. A good bimmer is even harder, mainly because the main following is excatly what u stated kids wanting to put tape on things, paint wheels black and other things.

I post on local boards more. That's mainly for parts and local help. While we all joke around 85% of the time, the other 15% will come thru and help me. Most are track racers , scaa or NASA. Lots of BMW and audi but mainly miata people.

I visit The Car Lounge but it is Euro-centric. I find specific car forums to be much more helpful and responsive.

svtperformance.com

Many of the best parts for my car are produced by some of the forum members who started their businesses selling parts to other forum members. Things like blower porting, solid IRS bushing kits, wheels, etc. Lots of write ups, how to's, photo documentaries and hard analysis of common issues, etc.

It's a pretty great place, and despite being a Ford SVT site, there are all sorts of cars represented; Chevy, imports, whatever.

the only other car forums i visit besides here are specific to the cars/ bikes i have. they are the only way to get decent info, as they are usually fans of that particular car.
