I am curious what happens when a Mod locks a thread ? What happens to the thread ? What is the point of locking a thread ?

All I know is that a Mod would lock your thread if you have violated one of the rules of this Forum.

I've seen how threads get locked but I always wonder what happens to those threads.

Thanks for in advance for your input.

What are you talking about ? Hehe, I've been a very good boy :p

If that was the case, how does one get "unlocked" ?

only moderators (or the administrator) can unlock a thread. Happens only on fairly rare occasions that I've seen.

Thanks for your input. Another thing I've notice is that some people are Elite Members and then there are also Diamond Members.

How do you get to that status ? Because all the forums answers is how to go from Junior Members to Members to Senior Members

You cant post in locked threads. and yes, they just die, and go to post heaven, the archive.

Elite memebers are chosen by the board admin. They are people who continuously post quality replys. The new status's such as Diamond, are based on how many posts. If you go to the Help page, and scroll to the bottom, you can see the number of posts required to get a certain status.

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
